  4. Standard Diploma • 24 Credits • Minimum of 2.0 unweighted GPA • Passing Score on Reading FCAT 2.0 • Algebra 1 End of Course Exam • Geometry End of course Exam • Biology End of course Exam

  5. Standard Diploma 24 Credits • 4 English • 4 Math (must include Alg. 1 and Geometry ) • 3 Science (must include Biology) • World History, American History, Economics, and Amer. Gov’t. • HOPE • 1 Performing Fine Art • Electives

College Ready Diploma Additional Requirements beyond standard diploma include: • 2 years of a Foreign Language • 4 credits in math, must include Alg. 1, Geom. plus 2 other math courses that qualify for University admission* *Please note Bright Futures and Colleges do not accept Liberal Arts Math and Informal Geometry.

  7. Advanced College Ready Diploma Additional requirements include: • 3.0 Weighted GPA • 26 Credits including Math must include 1 additional beyond Algebra 2. 1 Additional Science 1 Additional Soc. Studies Junior and Senior English- Honors, AP or DE 1 Additional Academic Elective

  8. Grade Point Average (GPA) Completion of a .5 credit in any course applies towards the calculation of the GPA. Weighted courses earn extra value. • Honors (+.5) • Dual Enrollment (+1.0) • Advanced Placement (+1.0) • IB (+1.0)

  9. GPA • A= 4 points (weighted 4.5 or 5) • B= 3 points (weighted 3.5 or 4) • C= 2 points (weighted 2.5 or 3) • D= 1 point (weighted 1.5 or 2) • F= 0 points

  11. Bright Futures Scholarships Visit www.FACTS.org to stay informed. • You can start tracking your BF GPA January of your 9th grade year. • Apply during your senior year. • IB Diploma= Academic Scholarship

  12. FCAT • Students must pass the Reading FCAT 2.0 in order to graduate. • Results of the 10th grade FCAT could affect course selection during your 11th grade. • Visit FCATexplorer.com for practice. • Every student will be given a user name and password.
