  1. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited Press note for launch of Delivery of LPG Refills through CSC VLEs in UP Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has been ensuring delivery of LPG Refills to its 8 Crore consumers. Out of 8 Crore, more than 2 Crore customers have availed LPG connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna. In order to extend our reach to customers and ensure that they are getting deliveries promptly and all their queries are addressed near their home, BPCL has partnered with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited under MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology), GOI and has rolled out Delivery of LPG Refills through CSC VLEs (Village Level Entrepreneurs). The LPG customers of Bharatgas will be able to book their LPG refill and get the same from a place in vicinity of their house. People interested of availing new connection will also be able to apply for the same. The pilot has been started in 5 Districts of UP- Hardoi, Hathras, Lalitpur, Ghazipur and Ayodhya (Faizabad) at 2 Distributors each. Each distributor has been mapped with 3 VLEs and today 30 CSC VLEs were launched electronically, who will be providing services to the customer near their home. The e- launch was done by the hands of Dr Dinesh Tyagi, CEO- CSC SPV and Mr T Peethambaran ED LPG BPCL. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr Vijay Tilak, CGM LPG Sales and Marketing Strategy BPCL, Mr Pawan Kumar, Regional LPG Manager North, Mr Kailash Nath, State Head UP LPG. From CSC side, Mr Atulit Rai, State Head UP CSC, District Managers as well as VLEs were present in the e-launch. In the address to VLEs, Mr T Peethambaran, ED LPG advised VLEs to take this pilot as a movement by extending services to the customers. He further emphasized on Digital payments in times of COVID-19. Mr Vijay Tialk, CGM LPG Sales and Marketing Strategy conveyed that LPG is not like any other product and we have to be mindful of handling the same as well as ensure that services are intended to the needy. Mr Pawan Kumar, RLM North advised to follow “Seva aur Suvidha” in taking this initiative further. Mr Kailash Nath State Head LPG UP guided that we can provide better services to the 88 lakh Bharatgas customers who live in rural areas with this association.
