  1. Acts 1:1-8 1 In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach. 2 until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. 3 After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.

  2. Acts 1:1-8 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised,.... which you have heard me speak about. Often the promises the Father, comes with wait. God’s promises are true, our waiting is faulty.

  3. Acts 1:1-8 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.“ 6 So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" 7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.

  4. Acts 1:1-8 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Love God, and live however you want! They knew what it meant to die to their plans, so that the Holy Spirit would give them the strength to live for God’s Plans.

  5. Matthew 14:29 29 Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. In the presence of Christ, Peter could: 1. DO the miraculous

  6. Matthew 16:17 17 "Jesus said to him, '... flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.'" In the presence of Christ, Peter could: 1. DO the miraculous 2. SPEAK the miraculous

  7. John 18:10 10 Peter, having a sword, ... struck the high priest's slave and cut off his right ear." In the presence of Christ, Peter could: 1. DO the miraculous 2. SPEAK the miraculous 3. Possessed miraculous COURAGE

  8. Matthew 26:74 74 Then he began to curse and swear, 'I do not know the man!' And immediately a rooster crowed." But SEPARATED from His presence, Peter failed in every way.

  9. Acts 3:6 6 "Then Peter said, 'Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.'" But in Acts, Peter again began to: 1. DO

  10. Acts 2:41 41 "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added about three thousand souls." But in Acts, Peter again began to: 1. DO 2. SPEAK

  11. Acts 35:41-42 41-42 "So they went on their way ... rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name. And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they kept right on teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ." But in Acts, Peter again began to: 1. DO 2. SPEAK 3. COURAGE

  12. Acts 1:8 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 2:1-4 "When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit..."

  13. Being FILLED with the HOLY SPIRIT is the same as being in the very presence of Jesus Christ. Acts 1:5 5 “For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."

  14. SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD Spirit of the living God, fall fresh on me.Spirit of the living God, fall fresh on me.Melt me, mold me, fill me, use me.Spirit of the living God, fall fresh on me.
