  1. Awareness for Cleanliness + Presentation by Ankit Gupta, Secretary, Chandigarh Hospitality Association

  2. What is Cleanliness ? • Simple English it means : • No dirt, • No dust, • No stains etc.

  3. What is Cleanliness to Hospitality Industry? In Hospitality services , cleanliness means much more than just absence of dust, dirt or stain. So henceforth for better understanding we call it Cleanliness +

  4. So what is Cleanliness + • To understand Cleanliness + we would do a little role reversal today. • Instead of being a Hospitality professional lets assume me to be Hospitality Guest much like almost all of us who at some stage must have been a hospitality Guest .

  5. As an Hospitality Guest • My expectations vis a vis cleanliness are: • Neat & Clean Environment: basic • Hygienic Environment, • Thematic Environment • Symmetrical Environment • Basically as a guest I have critical expectations of anything under the Outlets roof!

  6. Confessions of a Guest • Yes I have made small notes on the Room Service Menu • Yes I have used the Hotel linen to wipe my shoes • Yes my Kids have scratched the furniture polish and written on hotel walls • Yes I have had my food on the bed .

  7. Some More Confessions Yes I have put my shoes on the Hotel couch Yes I have littered the public area lobbies Yes I have scratched the hotel elevator with my luggage Yes I have carried dirty footwear onto the plush hotel rug

  8. Back to Role Reversalas an Hospitality Professional • As most Hospitality managers would agree cleanliness/maintenance is most of the single highest expenditure of our balance sheet. After all in Hospitality its just not about dust, dirt or stains but far more.

  9. An Appeal While we appreciate a Guest’ desire for premier facilities, we most humbly make an appeal: Please do not be a Guest such as me.Empathize with us and help us in achieving a Cleanliness + environment for you.

  10. ` Wishing everyone a responsible and clean Chandigarh Thank You for your patience and time. Ankit Gupta
