T.E.A.M. (Together Each Achieves More) Building
Teaching team building skills to children today will insure that they are well rounded and compassionate adults in the future. When students participate in team building activities, a new trust is formed. In the team building process children will learn how to react to others and how to better deal with conflict. Our activities bring kids together to share, play, and win in a positive way. Activities include bullying prevention, React, My Flag, Find the Flag, All-In, Concentration, and Hula Hoop Connect.
Students will explore various locations around the world such as Italy, France, Hawaii, Spain, Mexico, and Japan. Activities include an introduction to conversational Spanish and French, a field trip to an authentic Mexican restaurant, the Mexican Hat Dance, samplings of cultural foods, creating a pinata, and planning a festive luau.
Discover the Scientist in You
Students will enjoy a full week of Scientific Explorations and Cool Experiments. Activities include an Inventor's Workshop (rocket or airplane design and building, rope bridges, LEGO builders, Solar Cookers), Bugs and Slugs, and Grossology.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Students will be exposed to a wide variety of creative elements. Activities include wearable art, creating a mural, dance exploration, scrapbooking, and creating art from recyclable materials. We will have guest visits from a local fashion designer and a locally known performing artist.
Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
We are all fearfully and wonderfully made. Campers will learn the importance of personal health and fitness in their everyday lives. Student will gain a greater understanding of what it means to have a healthy mind, body, and spirit. Activities include studying nutrition and portion control, reading food labels, exploring healthy fast food options, and personal health and wellness. Students take part in a variety of fitness activities such as aerobics, power walking, soccer, kickball, and basketball.
