  1. If you’re reading this, you’re probably an employer. You could be seeking to maximize the benefits you offer to potential employees, especially if you’re in an industry that is short on labor. In such a situation, adopting workplace chargers for electric vehicles may be a move you’d want to make. Considering how fast EV cars are spreading around the world today, workplace charging may soon become an advantage sought after by employees. Even more, it could eventually become a staple requirement to attract commuting employees… Installing Workplace Chargers for the Commuting Employee. A lot of individuals spend 1-2 hours a day in traffic, simply to get to work. Often, people tend to live in locations that are far away from the site where they earn income. This could be to save costs of living, or simply as a result of forced logistical circumstances.

  2. Regardless of the situation, fuel costs pile up rapidly for long commuters. Spending hours a day in traffic is not only stressful, but it could also poke a hole in your pocket. This may be a factor that leads individuals to adopt electric vehicles on a mass scale. Electric vehicles of course require electrical energy to run. With electric vehicles, it’s not simply a matter of a simple plug-in and charge. Often, specific tools need to be installed at a location to allow for electric charging of vehicles. This is something you could add at your workplace. Installing a workplace charger for employees is bound to make them feel secure about the amount of energy that must be wasted per commute. An employee would highly appreciate it if you could let them charge their vehicles during work hours. EV Charging Requires Time. That’s another reason why it’s a good idea to allow for workplace charging. A car may take up to ½ a day to charge, which is a lot of time to get a car backup to full power. Contrast that to a petrol vehicle, where only a minute or 2 are needed to get a full tank. There will be situations where some employee may struggle to charge their cars at home. 12 hours is a lot after all. In a situation like that, it would be a great relief for them to simply get to work, plug their cars into an EV charging station, and focus on their assignments. Become a Competitive Employer by Installing EV Chargers at Work. It actually paints a bright picture of your organization when you promote use of workplace charging. You can use it to brand yourself as environmentally friendly, which is a nice box to tick off when marketing yourself. You’ll also be the talk of the corporate world if you install workplace charging today. While we do have electric cars, they’re not that common. You can capitalize on the installation to attract some attention to your company. Thus not only do you get marketing benefits, but you also receive high quality employees who appreciate your contribution!
