  10. Upcoming Events Make/Think: AIGA Design Conference October 8–11, 2009 The AIGA Design Conference heads to Memphis from October 8–11, 2009 to celebrate design excellence and stimulate thinking about design issues. Events Calendar

Competitions • Make/Think AIGA National Conference • Westwood wants to send two students. • Must be Active and in Good Standing during the March 2009 term. • Submit an one page essay on why attending would benefit you from a career perspective and one piece of professional quality work. • Deadline: May 8th at 5 pm MST to tdeherrera@westwood.edu

  12. Design a logo for Westwood Online’s Activities Team, SWAT! Theme: Parties, get-togethers, corporate functions, socializing, team building, etc. Submit to: slynott@westwood.edu Basic Rules: One logo per entry, one entry per student. Nothing inappropriate Deadline for entries is Midnight, April 30th, 2009 Mountain Time (11pm Pacific, 1am Central, 2am Eastern). The winner will receive a $50 Best Buy Gift Card. The winner will be announced by the middle of May. Competitions

Westwood College Online now has a master graduate portfolio – a place where you can have some of your work displayed, and be viewed by employers in your degree area.  This website will be used to showcase some of our top Westwood graduate’s work and provide you the opportunity to be viewed on a high-traffic, public-facing website. Requirements: You must possess a final GPA of 3.0 or higher in your degree area Your three (3) best pieces of work need to be submitted A review committee will evaluate the quality of your work for possible selection. dvaughan@westwood.edu Master Graduate Portfolio
