  9. PROPOSALS • Proposals should include an Operational Requirements Worksheet (ORW) • ORW is produced using POLAR ICE software, linked through Fastlane or polar.org • Allow sufficient time • Use the tutorial, help files, and online help • Be as thorough and accurate as possible

  10. GRANTS • Once funded, project specific planning may begin a year or more in advance • Support Information Package (SIP) due 15 April • Similar to ORW, SIP is produced using POLAR ICE • SIP should reflect ORW, only more detail
