  3. History of Assessment Manager • Program development began in 2005. • First version was released in 2006. • Received overwhelming support from educators. • Currently in its 5th version 3

Assessment Manager Now • Incorporates the suggestions of educators & curriculum specialists. • Is fully aligned with education policy • the National Protocol on Assessment • the National Protocol on Reporting and Recording • the White Paper on e-Education, and • NCS Assessment Guidelines. • Is compatible with the Khanya online system • and with the DoE’s Schools Administration Management System (SA-SAMS). • Has been successfully piloted in several schools. 4

ER’s Training model • Assessment Manager is designed for use at various levels: • School administrators can be fully trained in 2-3 hours • Educators can be ‘up and running’ within an hour • We train administrator(s) of schools in a district. • They in turn train the educators ‘in house’ at a reduced level of complexity. • Educators do not sacrifice teaching time for training. 8
