    3. “Take-Aways” From December Town Hall Vogelweh 4th Ave Gate (Gate 9) Closed to inbound traffic Open outbound traffic from 0600-0800L Monday-Friday Provide More Advanced Notice of Town Hall Meetings Placed on marquees 23 Feb, announced at monthly building leader meeting, March MFH Newsletter, and flyers are placed in stairwells 2 weeks prior Sq/CCs, First Sgts, USAG-K were notified 3 Mar Lack of Snow Shovels in U-Fix-It Store SKE purchased more snow shovels

    4. “Take-aways” Continued Plans for sound barriers – Florida Loop Demo Area Not part of Demolition Project – Project programmed to improve green space for multi-purpose use – to include sound attenuation Vogelweh CDC – Feasible to change one way? No – Due to road width there is only room for one lane of traffic on Florida Loop Ramstein CDC – Is there a project to increase parking? When construction/demolition projects in area are complete, ample parking will exist

    5. Can 86 AW provide shuttle between Vogelweh and the KMCC? Due to force protection concerns and in-depth ridership analysis, the Landstuhl and Vogelweh shuttles are cancelled until further notice. The Ramstein base shuttle schedule remains unchanged. Base taxi service is for official duty passengers in support of official mission requirements Keep in mind, appropriated funds shuttles are only for official duty, no domicile to duty, and vehicles are sized based on official duty passenger ridership “Take-aways” Continued

Housing Spring Clean-up 6 May – Start @ 0900 (after PT) Coordinated with USAG-K and USAF Building Leaders will provide work assignments Building Leaders can/will assign work if member not available during scheduled time Building Leaders have been provided comprehensive guide to prepare for/ensure proper resident notification, appropriate supplies and work identification

Spring Cleanup Continued Common Areas Stairwell and Townhouse Buildings will be assigned specific common areas In and around playgrounds and sports courts Wooded areas within housing Common parking lots Duties will include removing trash, debris, and cleaning finished surfaces Additional containers will be provided Specific assignments will be provided to each building leader and each townhouse resident

Fire Safety Two house fires in February Ramstein Townhouse Family of 4 displaced Damage estimate exceeds $50K No injuries Cause remains under investigation Vogelweh Stairwell Family displaced Damage estimate exceeds $160K No personal injuries, family pet perished BOTH RESIDENTS CARRIED RENTERS INSURANCE!!

Safety Continued Resident Responsibilities – Prevention Controls Clean lint filter after EACH dryer load DO NOT operate your appliances – washer, dryer, dishwasher, oven, stovetop, microwave – while you are not in your apartment If you notice your dryer ‘overheating’/unusually warm/hot to touch, contact SKE (Housing Maintenance Contractor) Ensure your dryer vent hose (behind the dryer) is not twisted, obstructed, or kinked and it is properly attached at the dryer and the wall connection

From Your Building Leaders Meet monthly-hosted by 86 AW/CCC & USAG-K CSM Provides forum to discuss/resolve common issues Ensures continuity Have become ‘Traffic Wardens’ – authority to write Security Forces parking citations Developing Website for Building Leaders only and Website for stairwell residents Building Leader incentives program being developed to include 2d parking space They are YOUR BUILDING LEADERS – they deserve your respect and your cooperation

    12. From Your Building Leaders Pet issues Your building leader has/may designate an area for pets to ‘relieve’ themselves – respect it! Smoking No smoking policy is in effect – follow the rules! Smokers – It is your responsibility to ‘pick up’ after yourselves – that means keep ashtrays and butt cans clean
