background of play
Background of Play
  • The play is a giddy fantasy with absurdist humor tackling the AIDS crisis of the 1980’s. The story is of the love and adventures of a brother and sister.
  • When Anna becomes diagnosed with ATD, Acquired Toilet Disease, a fatal new malady with a high risk factor, she and her brother, Carl, take flight to Europe.
  • After the audience is thrown through the ride of the adventures of the two siblings, the actual tragic circumstances are revealed in the final scene.
