Aladin is an interactive software sky atlas allowing the user to visualize digitized images of any part of the sky, to superimpose entries from astronomical catalogs VisIVO and Aladin Objects can be selected using a picker and passed to Aladin to perform further operations Aladin can be controlled via commands sent to its standard input Using a pipe it is possible to interact with it from VisIVO
