AVS SMS International Collaboration Harmonization with international organizations such as ICAO and civil aviation authorities that have implemented or are implementing SMS Share and incorporate of lessons learned to further enhance AVS SMS Future activities may include outreach to civil aviation authorities that are planning to implement SMS Activities will be coordinated with concerned AVS services and offices

AVS SMS International Collaboration Initial SMS discussions held with ICAO, IATA, Transport Canada Civil Aviation and several Canadian certificate holders Inviting ICAO, EASA and TCCA to participate in the AVS SMS ARC Initial contacts made with EASA and a SMS presentation is planned to ECAST in December Meeting with Singapore CAA, Singapore Airlines and Singapore Aerospace planned in January Planning international SMS harmonization meeting in the US Additional contacts have been and will be made with other civil aviation authorities to encourage SMS harmonization and share lessons learned

Next Steps/Activities Continue Rulemaking strategy Continue design and architecture efforts Finalize strategic plan Finalize service and office AVS SMS requirements applicability Develop communication and training strategies Obtain and share lessons learned Continue outreach to industry and civil aviation authorities
