  4. ¿QuiÉn es el lÍder de mi país? • Technology: Internet based research, Powerpoint or Word for presentation on Interactive White Board – or poster. • Individual Project: Students research leaders of Spanish speaking world and perform a presentation in Spanish (Review Project) • International Issues: Students present a current news item in Spanish or English, and show the class the location of the country on the world map. • Grammar: Adjectives and ser, tener expressions (age), large numbers.

Las celebraciones • Technology: Internet Research, Power point presentation • Group Project: Students work in groups of three of four and complete a variety of tasks to examine a celebration in a Spanish speaking country. • Contrasting Cultures: Students compare and contrast celebrations with comparable US traditions – includes options for artistic expression, music choices, religious comparisons and more!

  6. ¡Mi viaje fantÁstico! • Technology: Internet research, use of word to create a travel journal to a Spanish speaking country. • Individual Project: Students will take an imaginary journey with a set budget in the currency of their destination. • Culture: Travel must include discovery of cultural information, such as visits to architecture, and museums • Grammar: Students will present in the simple past tense

  7. El CafÉviernes • Technology: Optional! • Group/Whole Class Project: Team of 3 or 4 receive a project grade. The balance of the class receives a participation grade • Fluency: Students must speak Spanish the entire period – with the exception of one word of English in each sentence. • Grammar: Making polite requests for food and drink, and various conversation topics.
