  1. CHRIST FOR THE WORLD • Christ for the world we sing, the world to Christ we bring with loving zeal! • The poor, and them that mourn, the faint and overborne, sin-sick and sorrow worn, whom Christ doth heal.

  2. CHRIST FOR THE WORLD • Christ for the world we sing! The world to Christ we bring, with fervent prayer; • The wayward and the lost, by restless passions tossed, redeemed at countless cost, from dark despair.

  3. Acts 18:9,10 Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, "Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; 10 for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city."

Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, "Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; 10 for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city." Paul obeyed and the result was that those who were the Lord’s heard His voice and followed him. 1 Cor 1:24 > but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. AN EXHORTATION

  7. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO CAN BE REACHED! • It is up to us to find them! • The “hearer” is being tested! • If he rejects the message he has failed, not us. • We fail when we do not present him with the truth! • We are responsible for planting not the harvest.

  8. IT IS IMPERATIVE TO GET THE MESSAGE OUT! • The Great Success Story! • Col. 1:23 > “which was preached to every creature under heaven” • Acts 19:10 > “so that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.”

IT IS IMPERATIVE TO GET THE MESSAGE OUT! • John 6:66; Luke 16:31 • Taught to Teach … Saved to Serve … Won to Win • No missionary societies, no sponsoring churches, no extra-congregational organization for evangelism. • But the Gospel spread to the whole world! • Key: Not activating the universal church, but activating individual Christians!

IT IS IMPERATIVE TO GET THE MESSAGE OUT! • We are worried and hindered too much with the externals. • Nice buildings, smooth professional appearance, polished presentations. • All suggests that the power is in us! • Many are converted to these! • The power is in the gospel and IT will only save ONE kind of person! • “love the truth” – 2 Thess. 2:10

  12. IT IS IMPERATIVE TO GET THE MESSAGE OUT! • The power is the same • Man is the same • Obstacles are the same • Are we sowing? • Acts 4:18 • Acts 2:22,41; 4:4; 5:42; 6:1,7 • Live in a free land!

  13. FAITH OF THOSE WHO SPREAD THE GOSPEL IS VITAL! • Spirit of the Samaritan woman, John 4:29,39 • John 1:40-41, 45; Acts 10:24 • Acts 8:4 – how the word works in the lives of those who embrace it. • Luke 24:32,33 • Paul – Stephen - Philip

  14. THE FAITH OF THOSE WHO SPREAD THE GOSPEL IS VITAL! • The Gospel works! • Changes lives, turns hearts • Everywhere! • Convinced! • Why did the jailer ask Paul and Silas?

  15. THE LORD WILL STILL HELP US! • Acts 16:6-9; Acts 8:4;11:21 • Eph. 6:19,20; Col. 4:3 • Can we pray “help us grow” and then not do the work? • Unity: work of evangelism • Hebrews 6:11
