  • Apprenticeship is a method of learning the skills and knowledge necessary to become a skilled worker and a certified journey person.
  • Most apprenticeship programs take two to four years to complete and combine approximately 80 % paid-on-the job training (under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson )with 20% technical/in-school learning.
  • Not everyone is prepared to continue their education after high school.
  • Some students enter the world of work, employed in a variety of jobs , while deciding on their career path.
