  1. Pentecost – Harvest Time! The Day the Church was Born

  2. How Do We Know When the Church was Established? • We know the time frame (Acts 2:47; Matthew 16:18) • We can calculate the year (Luke 3:23) • We can determine the month and the day (John 1:29; 1 Cor. 5:7; Leviticus 23:15-16)

The Significance of the Church Beginning on Pentecost • Pentecost was the feast of the early harvest (Leviticus 23:15; Exodus 34:22) • The church was established on Pentecost (Acts 2:36-41, 47; Exodus 32:27-28; 1 Corinthians 10:6-7) • All who became Christians were first-fruits of the harvest! (James 1:18)

The Church is about Sowing & Reaping – Seedtime & Harvest • The kingdom is like sowing seed, letting it produce, and gathering the harvest (Mark 4:26-29) • If seed was sown, & the plants have grown, the time of harvest is near! (John 4:35-38) • Seed has been sown! • The fields are white! • The rewards of laboring in the harvest are eternal!

  5. "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” – Luke 10:2 You can have a part in the harvest!
