  9. The Rule of Law A set of rules that we all follow which keep us safe and are fair to all people.

  17. The Rule of Law Attendance Coming to school every day is a law.

  18. The Rule of Law Attendance • There are rules and laws in place to ensure we all receive an education and have the opportunity to go to school. • Therules are in place to benefit us all.

  20. The Rule of Law When is it okay to not come to school? • Poorly • If you need to go to the doctors, the hospital or the dentist.

  22. The Rule of Law When is it not okay to have time off from school? • Birthdays • Holidays • If you feel tired. • If your school uniform is not clean. • If you haven’t done your homework. • If you think you are going to be late.

  23. The Rule of Law Attendance Mums, dads and people at home cannot decide if you come to school or not. The law states that you must come to school.

  24. The Rule of Law Attendance The law tells all schools to keep a register to make sure all children come to school.

Your task is for all the children in your class to come to school every day and get 100% attendance. • Each day your class has 100% you will get a letter from the words Perfect Attendance. • When you get enough letters to spell ‘Perfect Attendance’ Mrs Harrison will make everyone Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows. • Who will be the first class to do this?

  31. Keeping Ourselves Safe • In school if there is a fire the fire alarm will sound and we all need to leave school calmly and quietly. We walk to the field.

Keeping Ourselves Safe • If there is a problem outside the school building we sometimes need to keep ourselves safe by staying inside. • When this happens you and your teachers will here a whistle. • You will go to the following places Year 1 and 2 – Family Learning Year 3 and 4 – Learning Zone Year 5 and 6 – Computing Room
