  1. Stockholm

  2. Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and also the biggest city in the country according to the population.

  3. 40 % of Stockholm is green areas such as parks and forest. There are 15 lakes in the city.

  4. The Stockholm Archipelago is the biggest archipelago in Sweden. It consists over 30 000 islands and is known for the beautiful nature.

  5. Stockholm has got close connections to other countries, like cruising to Finland. We cruise all year round.

  6. The water in Stockholm is very clean. The lakes in Stockholm are popular fishing waters and there are a lot of places where you can swim.

  7. The climate in Stockholm varies very much. We have warm summers, though it rains rather often. The winters are cold with lots of snow.

  8. In winter we go skiing and skating. If the temperature isn’t too cold it’s possible to build snow castles and snowmen.

  9. It’s possible to go skiing in the city. Every year there is a skiing race in Stockholm, called Royal Palace Sprint. There is also skiing races for children in the city center.

  10. Sometimes the huge amount of snow and ice makes it hard for cars and trains to move and a chaos starts in the traffic. We hope that this doesn’t happen when you visit us in Sweden!
