M&E in GFATM Round 10 • Management of Data Management Units • Improved recording & reporting • Timely consolidation & submission of monthly reports • Monitoring of malaria interventions in Global Fund districts assigned to PR (DMC) • By PR M&E officers (Dr. Jamali, Dr.Hameedullah, Mr. Ghulam Muhammad) • By Malaria Programme Managers (Provincial) • By Incharge DMUs (District) • Enhanced coordination of Federal, Provincial and District levels through • Quarterly Coordination Meeting • Monthly District Coordination Meeting

  3. Specific Involvement in M&E

  4. Responsibilities of Provincial Malaria ProgrammeManager • Attend Quarterly Coordination Meeting • Monitoring of Global Fund districts assigned to PR (DOMC). • Narrative field visit report • Visits will be planned in coordination with PR Provincial M&E Officer based in respective province. • Ensure: • Timely receipt of FM-3 report s • Timely submission of FM-4 report to DOMC/PMU GFATM R 10. • Maintenance of database for all the reporting indicators at provincial level.

Responsibilities of Incharge Data Management Unit (Prov.) • Data Compilation • Compile FM 3 data received from the all districts in the province and generate computerized FM 4 report. • Record Maintenance • maintain records of FM3 and FM4 in the Provincial Data Management Unit (in soft and hard copies). • Database Maintenance • Maintenance of computerized database of all malaria data at Provincial Office

Responsibilities of District Health Officer • Attend Quarterly Coordination Meeting • Attend monthly coordination meetings (Microscopy centres/RDT centres) • Ensure: • Timely receipt of FM-2 report s • Timely submission of FM-3 report • Maintenance of database for all the reporting indicators at district level.

  7. Responsibilities of Incharge Data Management Unit (District) • Monitoring of Global Fund supported Health Facilities in the district ( at least 30% facilities per month) • monthly district malaria report will be required on the guidelines provided by PR. • Reimbursement will be subject to submission of satisfactory report, submitted to PR Provincial M&E Officer by 2nd of the month • Visits will be planned in coordination with PR Provincial M&E Officer based in respective province.

Responsibilities of Incharge Data Management Unit (District) contd ….. • Data Compilation • Compile FM 2 data received from the all health facilities in the district and generate computerized FM 3 report. • Record Maintenance • maintain records of FM2 and FM3 in the District Data Management Unit (in soft and hard copies). • Database Maintenance • maintain computerized database of all malaria data at District Health Office • maintain record of Minutes of Monthly coordination meetings (Microscopy centres/RDT centres) conducted by the SRs, each month in the district

Responsibilities of Incharge Data Management Unit (District) contd ….. • Ensure functioning of Global Fund supported Malaria Diagnostic Centers (Microscopy/ RDT centers) • Attend trainings conducted by the SRs in the districts • Supervise (wherever possible) distribution of Long lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) and usage in the districts • Supervise Indoor Residual Spray (IRS) in the districts

  10. Challenges • Insufficient Monitoring in Districts due to: • adverse security situation (Balochistan, FATA, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa) • Military Operations (FATA) • Data accuracy, validity, uniformity, timeliness
