  2. Views on Abortion • The Party Van believes that abortion should be privatized. The Government should not pay for abortions with taxpayers’ money. Medicaid (the government program that provides health care to low-income pregnant women, children, the elderly and the disabled) covered the cost of terminating a pregnancy. The party feels that there are special circumstances that would have exceptions in such cases of rape/ incest. In 1977 Congress passed the Hyde Amendment which put limitations on Medicaid coverage of abortion, allowing it only in the cases of rape, incest, or if the mother's life was physically endangered. Over the years, those two exceptions were eliminated. In 1979, abortions performed if a mother's life was endangered were no longer allowed, and in 1981 abortions performed due to rape and/or incest were denied. Abortions should not be illegal. If a person wishes to get an abortion, they should be able to do so with their own money.

  3. Views on Affirmative Action • The Party Van believes that Affirmative Action is wrong. Our constitution was written to ensure the freedom of all people but allowing for Affirmative Action, allows those minorities under its power to have more rights than those who are not minorities. Therefore Affirmative Action leaves those who are not affected by its authority to have fewer rights which is altogether unconstitutional. Some people believe that without Affirmative Action there is less opportunity for minorities to get jobs or employment, but in all honesty Affirmative Action does little to increase job opportunities for minorities. What it does do, is force businesses to compensate minorities more than those in the majority.

  4. Views on The Economy • The Party Van believes that the economy needs to be completely rebuilt. We believe it is crucial that we cut unnecessary government spending. It is our view that the government needs to spend less money on non essential programs like Medicaid, Welfare, etc. The Party Van also stands for fewer taxes, to put money back in your pocket and stimulate the economy. We believe in a free market economy that does not place heavy restrictions on corporations which supply us with countless jobs. The Party Van ultimately believes in giving your money back to you!

  5. Views on Education • The Party Van believes that the issue of our children’s schooling is vital in the election process. Their secondary school should be a matter of selection and choice. We believe our country should move toward privatization of schooling. We are pro-private school and pro-vouchers. Education is the foundation for the future of society. If we do not allow our children to have a choice on their education, how successful will the future of America be?

  6. Views on Energy • The Party Van believes that while finding new sources of energy is important, it should not be the government’s top priority. We think that renewable energy and finding new ways to get energy is very important in keeping our world clean and lengthening its life. However we also think that it should be up to private research companies and universities to fund their own experiments and projects. We think that new energy is exciting and should be investigated, just not on a federal level. The Party Van also believes that the government should reward Americans who make “green” decisions by giving money those who find new energy sources and use things like solar panels and electric cars.

  7. Views on Gay Rights • The Party Van believes that gay rights are not being dealt with correctly on a federal level. Each state has its own beliefs on the issue, and the whole country should not be uniform in a single law on same-sex marriage. This is why we believe each state should create its own laws on gay rights. Things will be able to get done more efficiently, as it’s been in states such as New York and Massachusetts. It will bring fewer disputes to our country if it’s not a federal issue.

  8. Views on National Debt • The Party Van believes that national debt is an easily fixable problem. By creating equal taxes for everyone and letting the people decide how their money is being spent, the nation would not be as angry with the tax situation. There is an excruciating about of money spent annually on such small unnecessary things like the Patient protection and affordable care act (Obamacare), federal aid, that pays for other people with the wealthier people’s money. Democrats believe the federal government knows how and where to spend money for local needs better than elected community leaders, and federal bureaucrats should continue to control the flow of funds to the states and localities and dictate how the taxpayer s money will be spent. For example, in 2009, Taxpayer Funded Political Ads on MSNBC: $495,000 was spent to air commercials touting the Obama administration; Over 100 Million for a Harbor and an Airport for Town with no Roads and 75 Full-Time Residents; Agriculture Tighten Controls on Federal Employee Credit Cards and Cut Down on Delinquencies cost $104,500,000.

  9. Views on Health Care • The Party Van believes that health care is a prevalent issue that will end badly if it continues in the path it is going. Obamacare is going to do more damage to the public than doing well. Sure it will give health care to every American, but it will also be at the cost of the middle and upper classes. If someone cannot get health care on their own, it should not be up to the wealthy to pay for them.

  10. Views on Immigration • The Party Van believes that immigration is an issue that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Our boarders are unprotected and there are many immigrants flowing into American illegally. Immigration is a great thing for America, the melting pot, but when there are more minorities coming here illegally, the American majority will be overtaken. Our boarders are unprotected and need stronger boarder protection to prevent illegal immigration.

  11. Views on Business Restriction • The Party Van believes that our government currently places too many restrictions on businesses, which immensely limits the production and industrialization of American Business. Businesses should have few to no restrictions therefore promoting industrialism and keeping jobs in our country opposed to having to outsource them to make production more efficient. It is important to let our industry flow unchecked so that we can increase the amount of jobs for Americans and help balance the economy.
