  2. Mrs. Canez’s Social Studies Class • During the course of the year, students will learn about the various cultures of our world and how countries relate to one another. We will have discussions on geography, economics, governments, and much more. As students study world cultures, they will gain a greater insight on how and why the world became what it is today.

  9. Mrs. Canez’s Social Studies Class • Grades The Interactive Binder is graded weekly and are kept in the class. Binders can be taken home with prior approval. A=90-100 Test and Projects 40% B=80-89 Classwork, Quizzes, Binders 50% C=75-79 Homework 10% D=70-74 ____________________________ F=69 and below Pre-Ap and IB Tests and Projects 40% Classwork ,Quizzes, Binders, Homework 60%

  10. Mrs. Canez’s Social Studies Class Consequences of Tardies: 1st Tardy: Teacher Warning – documented by teacher 2nd Tardy: Lunch detention – documented by teacher 3rd Tardy: Student receives lunch detention with parent contact 4th Tardy: Office Referral ( 1 Day ISS)

Mrs. Canez’s Social Studies Class Daily Class Work *Students are required to completed assignments in the time given. *Please encourage your child to share what they did in class Homework *Students are expected to keep up with their Homework Log given to them. *Expect 1 or 2 days of homework *Please check and return It should be signed weekly.

  12. Tutoring Tuesdays and Thursdays (3:40pm-4:15pm) Mornings are also available with permission Students can finish make up work, update their journal, come in for a reteach, or retake a quiz/test during tutoring.

  13. Mrs. Canez’s Social Studies Class • Progress Reports/Report Cards Report Cards will be given every six weeks. A progress report will be given every three weeks to ensure progress is being made in classes.
