new hoa requirement for qualified status

New HOA Requirement for “Qualified” Status

Currently, “Qualified” companies do not have to go through a Home Office Audit (HOA) automatically. Instead these companies are put into a randomized selection pool.

On January 1, 2014, in order to attain “Qualified” status, companies will be required to pass an HOA.

new hoa requirement for qualified status1

New HOA Requirement for “Qualified” Status

Why? The board believes that the HOA is the best way to understand how and if a company is following their safety program.

The new HOA requirement will apply to all new applicants.

Companies currently in “Qualified” status will be randomly selected over the next three years for a HOA so that all “Qualified” contractors have passed a HOA by early 2017.

Revised SPRS

The revised SPRS is posted online at www.miccs.org and all changes are highlighted

Everyone received an handout
