  12. Part of the TeamSierra Vista Counseling Center Thomas Thompson PHD, FACPN Joined the team at SVH Counseling Center summer of 2006. Neuropsychologist with prescribing privileges. Serves as a professional member on the board of Psychology Examiners of the State of New Mexico.

  13. Part of the TeamSierra Vista Counseling Center Masters prepared Counselor in Social Work. LADAC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor). This Counselor is in charge of the Drug Court Program through District Court. RN with an extensive background in psychiatric nursing. Case manager who also offers alternative therapy.(Psycho Social Rehab groups, Tai Chi class, relaxation/ sound and light therapy). 24-7 on-call crisis intervention

Inpatient Services • SVH is licensed for 25 beds • Clinical care delivered by experienced RN’s and LPN’s • Ongoing competency & education of staff • New Point of Care Technology These hand held devices allows nurses to capture and document vital signs information, and verification of pharmacy order entry allows nurses to double-check medication orders that were computer entered by hospital pharmacy. Need for New Structure • Expenses of continual renovation on current facilities is too high • We need a facility to complement the State of the Art Equipment and quality services we now offer • Current Facility will no longer be up to codes to meet patient safety • Need to meet the growing demand for local health care services

Goals for NEW Hospital Plan • The Healthcare Leadership in Sierra County envisions a healthcare facility and campus that will: • Meet the current and future healthcare needs of our residents and visitors. • Provide a safe and caring environment to promote healing and wellness. • Be a source of pride within the community utilizing environmentally responsible construction and design . • Become the center for Healthcare, Wellness and Healthcare Education in Sierra County well into the future.

Where will the Funds for the New Hospital come from? • Funds Will be Collected From: • Public Sector including the State Legislature elected officials. • Private Development. • Gross Revenue Tax 0.25 Bond campaign and positive vote followed by subsequent borrowed funds from a lending institution through RBC Capital Markets. • A review of the hospitals operating income. State & Public Bond/ Loan Grants Private Funds GRT Income Funding Path

  37. We will obtain an economic feasibility study that will tell us how much we can afford ,then establish a realistic budget. We will hire an architect which will design within our budget.
