Feudalism. By Jennifer Caba. What is Feudalism?. Feudalism is a way to govern a large state when the king is poor and not vary powerful. When there aren’t good roads, it is hard to communicate with people who live far away so, feudalism helps with this problem as well.

  2. What is Feudalism? • Feudalism is a way to govern a large state when the king is poor and not vary powerful. • When there aren’t good roads, it is hard to communicate with people who live far away so, feudalism helps with this problem as well.

  3. What military weapon is a knight compared to? • Knights are compared to a sword because they both have the same qualities. • A sword is used to protect like a knight. • It also is made out of metal and steel which shows strength. • A sword shines like a knight because of their high social class.

  4. What invention improved a knights ability to stay on his horse? • In the middle ages, the development of mounted knights was invented. The reason was because it was hard to fight and slay on the horse at the same time. So horses and riders (knights) were trained especially for staying on the horse. This invention was called Cavalry.

  5. Why did armor and therefore knighthood, represent a higher social class? • Knighthood represents a higher social class because of their pride and career of a knight. • And behavior or qualities applying a knight such as chivalry. • Armor was a symbol of a higher class. Army noblemen that wore a full suit of armor war known as a knight.

  6. The responsibilities of a knight are that they were forced on them by the feudal system of government. Since a knight received their property and wealth from the nobles and the king, he has responsibilities to carry out their will and wishes. The knight also vowed to live the code of loyalty which gave them other responsibilities. Responsibilities: Member of the army Train others of the nobles or kings They had to be the best worrior they could be Use their stregth to preform good deeds Look after the poor Defend the weak Look after women or orphans And stand for justice, morality, and honor What were the responsibilities of a knight?

  7. Explain the beginning of Feudalism • During the middle ages, invasions by Germanic tribes weakened kingdoms. presants looked up to nobles than to the kings protection. this made a new system called Feudalism. • Feudalism made Europe safer led to the increase production of food and goods. • This new system improved trade and the growth of towns and cities.
