  4. Senior Management Mr. S. Ramakrishnan is the driving force behind the Transworld Group of Companies. He is a graduate in Commerce from the University of Mumbai and has over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience including hands on experience in ship owning, chartering & ship management. His extensive experience in all facets of running Container Feeder Services in the Indian Sub-continent is brought to bear on operations of the Company. He directly oversees the day-to-day activities of the Group. Mr. Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan,Chairman. Mr. V. Ramnarayan,Vice Chairman & Managing Director. Mr. V. Ramnarayan is a Graduate in Science from the University of Mumbai with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. He heads the operations of the Transworld Group of Companies in India. He has over 35 years of experience in the container shipping industry. He has to his credit the handling experience of the first container service which commenced from India. His experience covers all aspects of shipping like commercial, technical, etc. www.transworld.co

  5. Senior Management (continued) Mr. L. B. Culas,Managing Director. Mr. L. B. Culas, a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Shipbroker, has a cumulative maritime experience of over 35 years. He has served abroad for many years on various types of cargo vessels as an Engineer, including four years as Chief Engineer. He also possesses extensive shore experience which includes various aspects of Container Feeder Business, right from sourcing the right kind of vessel to the actual running of the service. Mr. Ritesh S. Ramakrishnan,Director. Mr. Ritesh S. Ramakrishnan graduated from Purdue University with a B.Sc in Logistics and a double minor in communication and finance in the year 2009. After working at American Eagle Tankers and PKF Dubai in various different positions, Mr. Ritesh joined the group full time in January 2010. Thereafter, Mr. Ritesh has been involved in all aspects of the functioning of Transworld overseeing the financial, commercial, operational and administrative departments. www.transworld.co

  6. Senior Management (continued) Mr. Subramanian Jagdeesh, Chief Financial Officer Mr. Subramanian Jagdeesh is the CFO of Transworld Group, he began his career with Transworld in 2003. He subsequently became the groups Chief Financial Officer where he is primarily responsible for the groups financial activity. He is also the treasurer of the UAE Ship Owners association. Mr. Subramanian learned his CA from India and CPA from the United States and is also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. www.transworld.co

  7. Ship Owning (Container) OEL Inc. is the Ship owning arm of the group. Currently it owns 4 container vessels and three handy size bulk-carriers built to order out of which one has already been delivered at the end of 2012. The 4 container vessels are on charter to the Ship operation and the Liner division of the group.   8. Liner Currently owns a fleet of more than 16,000 dry containers that ply between the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East. They are also a name to be reckoned within the regions refrigerated container market. In 2011, Balaji Shipping Line expanded from a pure NVOCC into a regional Liner operator. They operate services directly linking UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and / to the Indian Subcontinent.   9. Feeder Services Currently operates a fleet of 25 feeder sized container vessels ranging from 1000 to 2300 TEUs. They operate within Indian sub continent and the Arabian gulf. They use the hub and spoke concept connecting cargo’s at the Jebel Ali and Colombo hubs.   10. Feeder Services Continue Shreyas is India’s first container feeder owning and operating company. Shreyas Shipping owns and operates a fleet of 4 container vessels trading on the Indian coast on India’s cabotage trade. Shreyas runs services connecting all the major ports in the West and East coast of India. Shreyas is the preferred feeder for Maersk Line and CMA CGM amongst other lines in India.   11. Supply Chain / 3PL Transworld has a very active 3PL, freight forwarding platform in the UAE, India, Oman and the USA (Transworld Logistics FZE, Albatross Shipping Ltd, TLSS Inc.). As a group we hold memberships in several prestigious networks like GPLN, WCA, IATA & FIATA. Our flagship warehousing facility is a 40,000m2 facility located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone. Transworld also owns and operates a fleet of over 75 trucks between the UAE & India.   12. Surface Transport A wholly owned subsidiary of Shreyas Shipping & Logistics Limited. SRSL specializes in the Surface transportation requirements of customers within India. They offer connectivity through coastal shipping, inland trucking and inland rail rake services. They also feed into the group’s inland infrastructure providing a holistic solution to their customers needs.   13. Ship Management Orient Express Ship Management (OESM) is the groups’ ship management division. OESM is an independent marine services provider offering a broad range of high quality ship management and consultancy services for all types of vessels. OESM is a professional ship management and crewing company, headquartered in Mumbai. They manage a fleet of Transworld’s in-house tonnages and external customers providing them with technical management, crew management, budget management, procurement assistance, repairs and dry docking services.   14. Ship Agency Transworld has within its network various different agencies both internal and external. Our agency relationships have all been long term appointments further showing our standing in the market. Being one of the pioneers of containerization in India, the Group represents several reputed International Shipping Companies for containerized and break-bulk shipping including UASC / MESSINA / MISC / HUB LINE.   15. Ship Owning (Bulk) The formation of Transworld Bulk Carriers in 2012 signaled the group’s entry into the Dry Bulk vessel owning market. The Group had placed on order 3 handysize bulk carriers at the Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard in Guangzhou, China. Our first vessel, TBC Progress was taken delivery on the 17th October 2012, with the next two vessels due in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2013. TBC Progress is presently employed on a long term time charter with a reputed European charterer.   16. Project Logistics Transworld Projects specializes in movements of high-volume break bulk Cargo, RORO machineries, oil field equipments and heavy lift project cargo. Project Logistics is highly time-sensitive and complex with every project demanding varied requirements. Transworld Retail The management decided to capitalize on the back-end strength which the group enjoys and to take the next logical step which is to develop the front-end.  We believe that in retail the back-end is equally important and complements and strengthens the value of the brand at the front-end. UAE has witnessed a tremendous surge in retail business backed by a buoyant economy and thriving tourism, trade, logistics and construction/real estate sectors.  As part of its long-term strategy to develop the retail division, the group has appointed VirafRaimalwala as CEO of the new division. Viraf carries with him vast experience in retail, gained over 20 years of association with 3 large retail groups in the Gulf including the Landmark Group. In his last posting he was COO of the reputed home interiors chain – Homes r Us in UAE. The retail division will focus on obtaining exclusive agencies of premium brands/products from all over the world and carry out distribution across the Gulf and the Middle-East.
