  4. 1. Join a video-sharingplatform of yourchoice. http://www.youtube.com/ http://vimeo.com/

  5. First of all, log out of youtubeappifnecessary...

  6. Tap on ‘sign out’

  7. You’ll see the following...

  8. Back to home screen and tap on ‘safari’

  9. Write www.youtube.com in browser

  10. Either use an existing account or create a new one.

  11. To create a new account, fill in profile (tlf not necessary).

  12. Not much left now....

  13. You are now an official Youtubian.

  14. To find your control panel...

  15. You will see the following... To create your channel

  16. Create a channel... Done.

  17. 2. Record your masterpiece!

  18. First of all: Be Prepared! • Know how the camera/device you are using works (picture – video mode / how to view on camera / how (not) to erase files / optimum file format for internet / uploading files onto your computer (know where they are stored) etc…) • Make sure the batteries are charged / you have enough power to film what you have to (have extra batteries/charger if needed) • Make sure you have all the equipment you need when going to class (tripod stand if necessary, etc…) • Do short trial recording and play it back to make sure the camera/device works properly before using it in class (do this as close to the moment of recording as possible) • Try and have back-up option (other camera/device) if possible

  19. 3. Uploading from a mobile device. • Most mobile devices such as smart phones or tablets normally let you upload to youtube directly from the device. It is much quicker than the process we have just seen.

  20. Record your film. Let’s use theiPad as anexample. Taponthe camera icononthe home screen.

  21. Make sure you choose ‘video’ option and then film...

  22. Now you can upload directly to youtube

  23. Log onusingtheuser id youhavecreated / alreadyhad

  24. Fill in information for the video (tags, limiting access, etc...)and tap ‘publish’

  25. Open up your youtube account again...

  26. Tap ‘my videos’

  27. Voila! Your video (should be..) there.

  28. View it and share if you like...

  29. Publish it, mail it, send link in an sms...

  30. And the Oscar goes to....
