  3. Physical Layer • We offer test suites for Clause 5, Clause 6 Sync, and Clause 6 OOB testing • Also we offer testing for SAS-2 6Gbps Physical Layer and SAS-2 Speed Negotiation. • All test suites can be found at: http://www.iol.unh.edu/services/testing/sas/testsuites/

  4. Clause 5 Physical Layer Test Suite • This test suite verifies OOB Signaling, SAS signaling, and Impedance/Crosstalk specifications for SAS devices as defined in Clause 5 of the SAS standard. • It requires 1 week for testing

  5. Clause 6 Sync Test Suite • This test suite verifies the sync specifications for SAS devices as defined in Clause 6 of the SAS standard • It requires 1 week for testing

  6. Clause 6 OOB Test Suite • This test suite verifies Out-Of-Band specifications for SAS devices as defined in Clause 6 of the SAS standard. • It requires 1 week for testing

  7. SAS-2 6Gbps Physical Layer Test Suite • This test suite verifies the physical layer requirements of 6Gbps SAS-2 devices. • It requires one week for testing

  8. SAS-2 Speed Negotiation Test Suite • This test suite covers many of the various changes and adjustments to SAS Speed Negotiation introduced with SAS 2.0. SAS 2.0 devices are required to support these added steps, but are not required to support 6 Gb/s operation. • It requires 1 week for testing

  9. Agilent DCA-J 86100C with the 5474A TDR Modules • This platform provides the ability to test Return Loss for physical layer electrical SAS conformance and Impedance Profiling.

  11. LeCroy SDA11000 • This platform provides the ability to capture real-time SAS traffic for physical layer electrical SAS conformance as well as protocol analysis up to 6G speeds.

  13. Agilent 81204A 12 Ghz Realtime DSO • This platform provides the ability to capture real-time SAS traffic for physical layer electrical SAS conformance as well as protocol analysis.

  21. Protocol Testing • We offer protocol testing for Clause 7, 9, and 10 of the SAS standard • The testing is done on our CATC-LeCroy Tracer/Trainer and Sierra M6-2 SAS/SATA Protocol Analyzer • All test suites can be found at: http://www.iol.unh.edu/services/testing/sas/testsuites/

  22. Clause 7 Link Layer Test Suite • This test suite verifies link layer specifications for SAS devices as defined in Clause 7 of the SAS standard • It requires 1 week for testing

  23. Clause 9 Transport Layer Test Suite • This test suite verifies Transport layer specifications for SAS devices as defined in Clause 9 of the SAS standard. • It requires 1 week for testing

  24. Clause 9 Target Error Handling Test Suite • This test suite verifies Target Error Handling specifications for SAS devices as defined in Clause 9 of the SAS standard. • It requires 1 week for testing

  25. Clause 10 Application Layer Test Suite • This test suite verifies application layer specifications for SAS devices as defined in Clause 10 of the SAS standard. • It requires 1 week for testing

SAS Power Management • This Test Suite measures the power drawn by a device in each Phy Power Condition, verifies that the device conforms to the Power Management Protocol defined in the SAS Spec, and verifies the Power Management state machine specified in the SAS 2.1 standard. • This requires one week for testing.

  27. CATC-LeCroy Tracer/Trainer • This platform provides analysis and diagnostic capabilities for SAS/SATA devices Generator capabilities up to 3G speeds. • It has the ability to act as a target or initiator and transmit all primitives and OOB signals.

  30. Sierra M6-2 SAS/SATA Protocol Analyzer • This device has all the same features of the CATC only it supports speeds up to 6G • It also has Jammer capabilities • The traces look the same as the CATC
