  2. RAIN WATER AND SHEEP CLANS Heritage awareness and appreciation is important because it helps us understand where we came from, who we are and where we would like go.

  3. IIN DEFENSE OF AFRICAN CULTURE A people without a cultural heritage tend to feel a sense of emptiness so much so that those with means embark on searching their origins. Hence archeological excavations, pilgrimages, etc

  4. UGANDA’S MATERIAL CULTURE Through Cave/rock art, Sculptures, Paintings and other material culture, scholars have been able to establish the existence of human settlements dating several hundreds of years in the absence of reliable written documents.

  5. THE GLOBAL VILLAGE Art helps in providing clues to a people’s cultural heritage through visual, audio and literary works.

  7. ARCHITECTURAL GENEOLOGY The visual arts have played a significant role in aiding societies achieve social identity by way of, documentation, representation, preservation and conservation.
