  1. Appreciation Sundays Your ministry is not in vain

  2. Appreciation Sunday The children’s ministry... because the children learn at a very early age who is God, Jesus & Holy Spirit. They make friends in Cornerstone and learn stuff that my wife and I cannot teach them. It also allows me to attend a much needed church service without having to be distracted by the little ones.

  3. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of preaching... because it quickens my spirit to love God. It increases my faith and helps me to know God’s voice and serve him better.

  4. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of sound/AV/powerpoint... because without you we would not be able to worship and to hear the messages that change our lives. You help facilitate the presence of the Spirit.

  5. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Pastor Steve... because God used him to speak humbly and frankly about a lot of difficult topics. I appreciate the little memory devices or images that I can use as clues to remember points, such as “buckets” and “morsels”. Thank you for being used by our Lord to help me mature in my walk.

  6. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of StarKids & YouthQuest... because they helped me establish a strong relationship with God at a young age. They got me involved with serving others and helping people. I became closer with other kids through fun lessons and later on at Friday nights. Thank you to all the coordinators, teachers and volunteers!

  7. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of my wife... because she has shown me through example how to be a better parent, partner and example of God’s love to those around me.

  8. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of refreshments... because your hard work gives people yummy food and cheers everyone up. Thank you for making everyone’s day better!

  9. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Sunday morning Greeters... because they are in the front lines of bringing Christ’s love, warmth, and care to the people who enter His house.

  10. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of the church building project finance team... because you do what you do best. No trash talking. Thank you for your service.

  11. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of the Worship Teams... because you choose and sing songs that uplift the spirit. Thanks!

  12. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of StarKids... because they have spent the time and love on the children, to teach them about God while they are still young. As they are just like a sponge, absorbing God words every time they come to church.

  13. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Sunday School... because I can literally see God’s love poured out to my kids when I drop them off. Thank you!

  14. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Dorothy & Andrew... because you have helped my family in so many ways through celebrations and challenges. You are a cornerstone in our hearts as we face each step always grateful for your love, friendship, prayers and support.

Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Everyone – I notice all of it - made a difference in my life— the band, the singers, the food people, the greeting people, the truck drivers, the teachers and assistants, the youth leaders, the Wed. night basketball people. The people who put away chairs, preach, make announcements, pack up the children’s ministry carts, those who organize food for the poor…

  16. Appreciation Sunday The Youth Ministry... because it has given my daughter a chance to know God, and meet other children who are from God-loving families.

  17. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of the Worship Band... because music is very personal and reaches right into my soul. The passion, love and grace they pour out every week is uplifting and spirit filled. It speaks directly to the heart in ways that words cannot.

  18. Appreciation Sunday The Youth Ministry... because it made me more active with the church, allowed me to serve others and connect with the church more. Thank you Pastor Kevin, for believing in the youth so much. Thank you Grace for always helping out and for everything else you’ve done.

  19. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of the sound guys... because the sound system is working very well – not too loud, to too soft, just right and clear – thanks! I know it takes a lot of attention to details.

  20. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Sunday School/Music/Pastoral Staff... because you give my kids a place to be and belong. You bring/usher me into the presence of God. I meet Him! Thank you for a heart-warming welcome to start our new lives in a new church. We met all the pastors in one week!

Appreciation Sunday The ministry of StarKids... because they have taught my 2 girls (Grade 2 & Toddler class) a personal relationship with God, knowing what is right and wrong, Bible stories, and coming home sharing the Bible verses. It also allows us to attend service knowing our kids are in good hands.

  22. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of StarKids... because you allowed my husband and I to worship each Sunday while knowing that our kids were loved and taken care of.

  23. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of the powerpoint volunteers... because you make it possible for us to worship and focus on God each Sunday. We know it’s not as easy as it looks!

  24. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Darla Sutherland... because she gives her time to lead the women’s Bible study each week. She is always encouraging us and showing us love. I am thankful that she prays for us as well and stretches our faith.

  25. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Grace Cheng... because you are always ready to serve and help with everything. You have always been there for everyone, from just bringing snacks to teaching.

  26. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Junior High Youth... because of God’s messages you have brought to my teenage girl. These seeds planted are bearing fruit in shaping her perspective and attitude towards life to be godly and holy. Thanks for your tireless efforts and exceeding patience.

  27. Appreciation Sunday The newcomers ministry... because this was the only church that we visited where people noticed we were new and ensured that we were greeted and introduced around. After our first week, we decided to make Cornerstone our home church.

  28. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of the worship teams... because of their dedication and the songs they sing are inspiring. Thank you for your commitment and time.

  29. Appreciation Sunday All the children’s ministry volunteers... because we have been able to worship downstairs and our kids have also been able to learn and grow in the knowledge and understanding of Christ.

  30. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Harry, Andre & Jon... because your work and devotion at the AV tables allows us to focus on God, and listen/review the sermons. The way you run things so we are not distracted is a blessing.

  31. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Kevin Ko... because he leads by example. He gives his time sacrificially and he helps me and everyone who needs help. He has such a good attitude.

  32. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of John Huh... because of his generosity and kindness.

  33. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of the Worship Teams... because they set the tone of the service through their music. The choice of songs, the words shared and the enthusiasm they show helps to get my head and heart in the right place. I can feel God’s presence through them.

  34. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Starkids – Emily, MJ and other teachers... because my kids come back home and ask questions raised because of things learned during their worship time with StarKids. It encourages and allows me to dig deeper with them spiritually during the week. We do daily devotions together now-- good basics to remind me of what I know and to encourage us to live out God’s truths as a family.

  35. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of StarKids... because the teachers, helpers and leaders provide a fun, God-centered environment to share the love and word of God to our kids. Thank you!

  36. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of the set-up/take-down teams... because this behind-the-scenes work ensures Sunday service can take place. Without your service, which can seem thankless and unappreciated, the worship service would not be what it is. Thank you!

  37. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Ron Hing... because he went out of his way to help me when I needed the help and went above and beyond what he needed to do. Thanks Ron for your giving heart and for being an expression of God’s love.

  38. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of StarKids... because my kids enjoy the Sunday classes, to learn about Jesus and to feel the love from all Sunday school teachers. Thank you for your love and devotion.

  39. Appreciation Sunday The children’s ministry... because my children are excited for church each Sunday.

  40. Appreciation Sunday The women’s Bible study... because it gave me God’s truth. His word spoke to me. It gave me fellowship, accountability and prayer support. It gave me Darla, a strong Godly woman as a role model.

  41. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Mike & Cindy Fuh... because Charis, JJ & Wesley get to learn basketball in an encouraging and very qualified environment. Personally, I always experience the passion and love of truly dedicated parents. Thanks Mike & Cindy

  42. Appreciation Sunday The Children’s & Youth Ministries... because these caregivers and teachers serve consistently out-of-sight to serve our families with children to help them grow in their faith as we grow ours during service.

  43. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Mary Jane to the StarKids program... because it showed me dedication to the children and a selfless desire to give of one's time to impact children for Christ.

  44. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Toby and Loretta Mak... because it showed an obedience to follow the call of God on their lives to leave all that is familiar and to serve Him in a far off land.

  45. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Nancy Young... because it demonstrates how one can use a hobby or a profession to reach others for Christ.

  46. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of EmilyDienstmann... because it challenges me to engage more with the Sunday School class, to impart Biblical truths to the students in a way that they can understand and to encourage them to seek to grow in their faith.

  47. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of small groups... because this ministry has given our family a place to connect on a deeper level with many other families at Cornerstone and has helped us grow in our spiritual relationships.

  48. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Ron & Anastasia made a BIG difference in my life because when we were heartbroken with our son’s diagnosis & wondering if he would be able to settle in a Sunday school class these two precious people stepped in. They took it personally to be always there for Mark. We looked forward to coming every Sunday to church & we tell Mark that he will see Uncle Ron. We will and could NEVER forget these two people.

  49. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Paul Yang, drummer on a worship team... because of his dedication and devotion to music.

  50. Appreciation Sunday The ministry of Pastor Steve... because when he sings I can see/feel God’s presence pouring out.
