  1. Welcome everybody

  2. Teacher’s Identity SYED SAIFUL ISLAM Senior Asst. Teacher Jessore International School (JIS), JessoreCantt. Jessore

  3. Learning Outcomes • Students will be able to define how X – Ray is generated. • Able to Explain the use of X- Ray’. • Able to analyze the good & harmful effects of X-Ray. • Able to utilize X-ray to find out the metal crack in the industrial area.

  4. 0o

  5. Can you determine what object was radiographed in this slide?

  6. Class: Ten Chapter: Twenty Four Time : 50 min.

  7. Todays Lesson X-Ray X-RayXX

  8. High Electrical Potential Electrons __ + X-ray Generator or Radioactive Source Creates Radiation Radiation Penetrate the Sample Exposure Recording Device How X-Ray Produces - Ve potential

  9. Fig- X-Ray Tube - ve HT +ve HT

  10. X-Rays Protective Lraye Phosphor Layer Phosphor Grains Substrate How X-ray works on Film

  11. X-Rays Phosphor Layer Protective Layer Phosphor Grains Substrate Film Radiography Top view of developed film

  12. Properties of X-ray • The ray travels along straight lines. • X- ray is a kind of E- magnetic radiation. Its wavelengthtometer. Unit of X-ray is roentgen. • If an X-ray impinges on a metal, electrons are emitted by it. • These rays produce fluorescence on material like Zinc Sulfide, Barium Platinocyanid etc.

  13. Group Work Find out the the frequency of ‘X’ – Ray band.

  14. Advantages of X-ray/Radiography • Technique is used to save human life in medical sector. • Very useful to inspect and detect metal and luggage's in airport and industrial sector. • Are used to locate an explosive in a box or leather container. • The custom officials make use of these rays in finding smuggled goods.

  15. Good effects of X’– Ray Can detect broke bone and internal organs of human body Can be used to detect crack of industrial equipment's.

  16. Harmful Effects of X-ray • Excessive use damages human limbs. • It creates radiation hazards.

  17. Remedial action Use Radiation Proof Apron. Avoid Radiation area if possible. Use Radiation film Badge.

  18. Technicians who works with radiation must wear monitoring devices that keep track of their total absorption, and alert them when they are in a high radiation area. Radiation Alarm Radiation Badge Survey Meter Pocket Dosimeter

  19. Evaluation • What is X-Ray? • What are the main use of X-Ray? • What are the harmful effect of X-Ray? • What is roentgen?

  20. Home Work • How will you utilize this knowledge in your practical life by learning X– Ray? Explain in detail.

  21. THANKS TO ALL THANKS TO ALL ধন্যবাদ সবাই কে
