  3. Themes in the Quran • There are a good many themes in the Holy Quran. One of these themes is الرسول • References to الرسول(The Messenger, Muhammad) appear in about 42 Ayahs • These references have variable flavors of meaning and connotations • The word الرسول comes in red and its English translation comes in red too. • Looking at the entire theme gives a better understanding of what the message entails.
