The PCATs • In 2012-2013, the PCAT will be offered in July, September, and January • It is taken electronically and contains a verbal, biology, chemistry, reading comprehension, quantitative ability, and two writing sections. • After the exam you will receive a preliminary Score Report immediately.

PharmCAS • Applications are submitted through PharmCAS which is a common application which most pharmacy schools use • PharmCAS opens in June which is when you can start working on your application • References, transcripts, GPAs, and application fees (expect supplemental fees) will all be sent through PharmCAS

How should I prepare for the Interview? • Dress Attire • Dress to impress, look professional (business suits, dress shoes, etc.) • Preparation • Make sure you have everything ready the night before, interviews are usually early in morning • Make a list of things you need to do beforehand • Give yourself enough time and be aware of morning rush hour traffic • Know the address, how to get there, where to park, and know phone number to call just in case

What should I know for the interview? • For the actual interview • Review your application, essay, and things you want to emphasize about yourself • Know the pre-requisites you’ve completed for the school and the ones planned for future • Think of questions to ask them • Research the school, area, and program • Relax, be yourself, be confident • Know what you’re heading into ahead of time by going to http://studentdoctor.net/reference-materials/interview-feedback/ • Click on “Pharmacy schools” • Find school you are interviewing at • Has tons of information about the interview and school • Including questions, tips, interview type and length • Tour and travel information for surrounding area • KNOW: why pharmacy, why this school, and why they should accept you.
