  2. Who are we? Derbyshire Learning & Development Consortium was established in 2000 to support Voluntary and Community Sector organisations across Derbyshire to develop and deliver high quality learning and development opportunities for their staff, volunteers, clients and learners.

  3. Objective DLDC provides information, training and support to members and the wider VCS in Derby and Derbyshire on learning & development policy, practice and quality assurance to enable them to engage fully with the learning & skills agenda.

  5. Models • Infrastructure-based models • Models for financing social investment • Service-based models • Organisational models

  6. DLDC Support • Programme of work with 100 organisations to identify skills needs to help cope with change. • Workshops and training opportunities for voluntary sector staff • Partnerships working to develop and disseminate effective practice

  7. Local Support • Community and Voluntary Services organisations • Rural Action Derbyshire • Effective partnerships with local authorities
