  • R&D studies into sherardizing started at the State Research and Production Powder Metallurgy Concern for about a decade ago.
  • The outcomes of primary trials have proved high potential of the proposed technology and expediency of its industrial implementation on a wide-scale basis.

  • R&D approach for development of technological processes for obtaining protective coating appl. thermodynamic simulation.
  • Pilot lot of items with improved Zn-coating properties.Laboratory furnaces adjusted to shielding gas atmosphere operation.

  • Development of thermodynamic model and software for prediction of such interaction' results, based on the principle of change in zinc thermodynamic activity depending on the treatment mode/regime and the composition of saturating medium

  • Original sherardizing technology, allowing to receive high-performance zinc coatings;
  • assured 3-5 times-increased corrosion resistance;
  • design of specific furnace installation for this technology implementation.

The developed technology will allow realize reduction of saturating mixtures, as well as to use secondary conversion materials as special-purpose additions.
