1. Parts of the Nervous System • Central Nervous System- brain and spinal cord • Anatomy of the brain • Cerebrum-voluntary activity, movement, learning, judgment • Cerebellum- balance, coordination • Brain stem- (medulla oblongata) blood pressure, heart rate, breathing, involuntary activities
B. The Peripheral Nervous System- nerves in and out • Sensory neurons: body to brain • Motor neurons: brain to body
