  2. info • The illuminati is a group shrouded in secrecy they are not very well known world wide but in America and western Europe. The group was founded on May 1,1776 by Adam Weishaupt. The illuminati is a branch off of another group called the Free Masons. The only confirmed members are as follows: Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and Johann Gottfried Herder and founder Adam Weishaupt.
