European Institute of TechnologyThe Polish proposal • The EIT- a vision • EIT - an elite research university for the II and III levels of education (MSc& Ph.D levels) that would traintop class workforce in sciences and technology. • The institute should encompass a broad spectrum of research fields and disciplines, serving as engine for future economy. • Why Wrocław as the EIT host? • Well known historic university and business townin the region • Superb geographic position • People who were able to transform Wrocław into international knowledge-based business, a dynamic financial and IT center.

  15. European Institute of Technology • The success of the EIT concept will hinge on providing innovative solutions in three key areas: • 1. Access • EIT’s activities should engage representatives of all countries of Europe in every category typical to academic institutions: students, researchers, teaching staff and the surrounding business environment;

Resources • The mission of the new institution will be achieved and successfully advanced if funding will be systemic, lasting and independent of changing political conditions; • 3. Synergy • EIT’s success will also depend on how effective the new institution will be at linking existing European research institutions and highly qualified academic staff with young people hungry for success. EIT must also develop an effective model for cooperating closely with private sector.
