Salary - average £15-16,000 Develops graduate employability skills Can lead to a higher degree classification – 97% of 2013 graduates with a placement got a 2.1 or above Differentiates you from other students Can lead to graduate job offer

A review of ‘The Graduate Market 2014’ by High Fliers Research reports that ‘over half of graduate recruiters warn that graduates who have no previous work experience at all are unlikely to be successful during the selection process and have little or no chance of receiving a job offer for their organisations’ graduate programmes’.

  8. Is the Placement Assessed? No – but you and your supervisor must complete and submit relevant progress reports. N200 may have the option to undertake a 20 credit Placement related module when return to Stage 3 LN12 – Stage 3 project MUST be based on the Placement Year

What You Need to Know It is not easy – you need to put the time in and do your research It can take time – don’t panic if you don’t get your placement early Application process can sometimes be very lengthy Many employers use a lot of psychometric testing! Main barrier to undertaking a placement – friendship groups!!
