  2. 1. The Nostalgic Night He was miserable. With tears in his eyes and face in his hands, he was trembling while sobbing. It always happened whenever he missed his mother. Today is one of those occasions and Shivi knew exactly what to do. Fear, apprehensions, and sadness crawled over her heart. She never understood Satty’s relationship with his mother. It had been more than a year that she is gone, but Satya (or Satty as his friend’s called him) just couldn’t accept it. Shivi looked at him again, then took her phone and made a call.

  3. 2. Strange Acquaintance Niru BANG! Satty was awakened. He felt that something hit his head. Awakened by the thrust, he saw Shivi sitting next to his bed,asleep. He rubbed his head, wiped his eyes and bent to take a glass of water, kept on the table beside him. He felt some movement. It’s from beneath the bed. He bent more and saw something moving further inside as if trying to hide from him. Cat? he said to himself. But why would it strike me on the head? Moreover,what I felt was nothing furry and clawed instead something like round massive ball

  4. 3. The Answer They both sat on the sofa to talk. Satya looked at Shivi who was still asleep. Then he looked at his new strange acquaintance. “Talk softly, she(pointing at Shivi) should not wake up.” “Oh! You don’t worry about her.” Satya is making up his mind as to what he should say who are you? Or what are you, or tell me about yourself. He heard a giggle saying, “Any of them will do!” Oh...I forgot! It can hear my thoughts! That’s so weird. Now I have to even think in private, said Satya to himself. “Let me introduce myself, I am Niru. I came to you because you called me.”

  5. 4. About Love Satya asked Niru, “Who was that person Maa was talking with? What war?” Niru replied, “I said I know everything about you, and you only. The answer for this, you will have to find out for yourself.” Satya thought, So the mystery remains. He took a look at Shivi. She was still asleep, looking so beautiful like a rose petal. “I have a question,” he said. Niru looked attentively at him. Looking at Shivi, Satya said, “Are we…” pauses…“Will I…” Satya was unable to find words to what exactly he wanted to ask. So he thought to expand his question.

  6. 5. The Waking When he woke up, he was on his bed. Shivi was not there, but he heard her voice from the front room, she was talking to someone, “You all go, I cannot leave him. Thanks for your concern but I just cannot...” He called her name, “Shivi...” but he was unable to speak clearly or loudly.
