Newcomers and immigrants thrive and integrate into community life:What do we know about this population result in Peel? • From Our Analysis of United Way and regional Investments: • Both funders support a wide range of programs that focus on adaptation an engagement • Together, they invest 3.5 million towards this outcome • Many of these programs are universal, and a few are targeted specifically for immigrants • Programs tend to focus on adaptation (skills) and community engagement; they are less likely to focus on family dynamics or employment.
