  2. Who we are – the editorial base The Cochrane ENT Disorders Group is funded by the UK National Institute for Health Research to 2015, for three part-time editorial base staff.   4. Who we are – contributors We have over 560 authors from 36 countries

What we do We produce systematic reviews of evidence for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of ear, nose and throat (ENT) disorders and head and neck cancers, and maintain a comprehensive database of controlled clinical trials within this scope.  We are interested in all therapies, including those that might be considered alternative or complementary.  We have published 79 ENT reviews and a further 41 protocols for forthcoming reviews. Our reviews and full range of subjects - http://ent.cochrane.org/our-reviews Cochrane Reviews are updated every two years and new evidence from trials is incorporated.

What we do – our reach Source: Cochrane Collaboration data April 2010 to March 2011 In 2010/2011 abstracts and plain language summaries (PLS) of reviews from the Cochrane ENT Disorders group received 80,305 views (74,440 unique views) on the Cochrane Library. That puts us 24th out of 53 review groups. Our most viewed abstract/PLS is ‘Ear drops for the removal of ear wax’ with 3,719 views, and is consistently in the top 20 most viewed reviews on the Cochrane Library (reaching 9th in the last 3 months).
