ADH Blood volume drops Hypothalamus detects decrease in blood pressure and increase in concentration of salts Thirst mechanism and fluid intake are stimulated Hypothalamus stimulates pituitary glands to release ADH ADH stimulates the kidneys to reabsorb water and decrease urine output Blood volume increase and osmolality returns to normal
