  1. Welcome to WORLD GEOGRAPHY! Mrs. Polly Ferringer Objective: To familiarize families with the curriculum, policies, and procedures of sixth grade World Geography.

September 19, 2012 • Learning Goals: • As a result of this lesson, I will be able to demonstrate my understanding of hemispheres and coordinates. • Learning Activities: • Learning Goals/Assignment book • Locating specific places on a world map • Battleship Game board, explain and assign • Take Note: Battleship game board, complete! (September 20) Latitude/ Longitude Quiz, Monday! (September 23) Map Test, next Friday(September 27)

  7. Notebook Organization Required to keep materials organized Social Studies – a folder or a section Required to correct mistakes on assignments

  8. Absence Procedures Upon return pick up missed work from assigned location Make-up = number of days absent See me at anytime for assistance

Team Homework Policy First semester Completed on-time = full credit Turned in 1 day late = ½ credit No credit will be given beyond 1 day late Second semester All work must be turned in on assigned due date to receive credit. NOTE: Assignment Notebook is most accurate Students given several days notice of quizzes and tests
