  5. Set Up of Essentials Binder 3. Keep a small section of lined paper behind your Assignment Organizer (extra paper may be stored in your locker) 4. The last item should be your Homeroom/Take home folder. **This ESSENTIAL BINDER must be with you and utilized for EVERY class period. It is “essential” to keep you prepared, organized and informed. SUCCESS STARTS HERE!!!**

  6. Morning Routine Before homeroom: • When coming from morning program, stop at fountain for drinks before coming down to homeroom. Bathrooms do not open until 1st Period. • Go to locker. Leave hats, coats and backpacks inside. Get supplies you need for Per. 1-4. Make sure you have everything you need before entering homeroom. Locker time is not SOCIAL TIME. Once you are finished at your locker, report immediately to homeroom. • Once in homeroom, you will not be permitted to go back out for locker, drinks, etc. • Be in homeroom by 8:25. After the bell rings, you will be marked late. Four lates to homeroom are reported to the office on a green slip.

  7. Set Up Your Locker Setting up your locker will help keep you organized! • Leave coats and other outerwear in your locker. • If possible, get locker shelves to better fit your belongings. • Label the sides of all binders so they’re easily accessible. • Keep extra pencils, pens, and other school supplies in your locker. • Keep a copy of your school schedule in your locker. • Don’t keep unopened or outdated food in your locker. • Be sure to clean your locker periodically to stay organized. Remember: Lockers are school property, so anything that is not permitted in our school, is not permitted in your locker!

  8. Examples of Organized Lockers -Backpacks are hanging -Books are labeled and neatly stacked -Decorations are minimal and hung using magnets -Shelves are used to create extra room -Lunches are kept up high and in containers -Unnecessary items are not cluttering lockers What else do you notice?

  11. Schedules • You will receive your schedule on the first day of school • Your homeroom teacher will go over how to read your schedule in detail • You will have classes that you report to everyday • Social Studies & Science are semester classes • We have Day 1 and Day 2 classes • The other classes are considered “cycle” classes • Your day starts at 8:25am and ends at 3pm

  12. Missed Work or Forgotten Books If you are absent, then it is your responsibility to ask each of your teachers for the work that you missed.
