  2. INTRODUCTION! My animal is a Great white shark its scientific name is CarcharodonCarchairas Largest predatory fish on earth It lives up to 30 years! Its endangered because people want their teeth

  3. PHYSICAL FEATURES ! It can be 15 to 20 feet long It can weigh up to 5,000 pounds Their teeth are 5.7 cm long There are about 300 very sharp triangular teeth Their upper body is slate grey Their lower body is white Their body looks like a torpedo Their head is like a triangle Their body is like a skinny pentagon

PHYSICAL FEATURES THE TOP FIN IS CALLED THE DORSAL FIN AND IT IS LIKE A TRIANGLE THEY ALSO HAVE A TINY SECOND DORSAL FIN TAIL IS CALLED THE CAUDAL FIN AND IS LIKE A BOOMERANG THEY HAVE TWO PECTORAL FINS ON THE SIDES THEIR EYES ARE SMALL, BLACK CIRCLES THEY HAVE GILLS ON THE SIDE OF THEIR BODY THEY HAVE NO NECK

  5. HABITAT! JAPAN AMERICA AUSTRALIA AFRICA PACIFIC OCEAN ATLANTIC OCEAN AND BY COSTLINE REEFS

  6. CLIMATE! IT LIVES IN COLD WATER LIKE SALT WATER IN WARM AREAS THEY LIKE COLD WATER

  7. LANDFORMS EAST AND WEST COAST OCEANS 3FOOT WATERS AND 12 FOOT WATERS LIVES ON SAND WITH WATER Lives in pacific water and Atlantic waters

  8. PREY AND PREDATOR Killer whales eat great white sharks People attack great white sharks What they eat They eat sea lions They eat dolphins They eat there own babies They eat seagulls they eat turtles Sometimes they eat people bodies WHAT EAT THEM

  9. BEHAVIOR Great white sharks are very active They are solitary a lot They interact with other great white sharks They communicate with body language like moving around They help the envierment by cleaning up the ocean with their mouth They survive by cleaning up the ocean

  10. REPRODUCTION! The babies are called pups They have dozensof babies The babies are independent at birth They weigh 160 to 100 pounds Sometimes their mom eats them when they’re born They hatch inside their moms The mom can have 6 to 60 babies at the same time Their mom leaves them after they are born

  11. ADAPTATION! Its grey body blends in to the top of the water and its white blends into the sand They keep their bodies warm so they can swim faster They can’t stop swimming or they will sink If they break a tooth a knew one grows in Their body is black

  12. Behavioral adaption They are not eating machines They ambush there prey from the bottom The only shark that lifts its head above the water

  13. Physiological adaptions • Their bodies don’t have bones only cartilage which helps them move faster through the water • They can change body temperature to hunt all around the ocean • They use an extra sense to feel the prey around them

  14. BEHAVIORAL They are not eating machines They ambush there prey by bottom of the prey Great white sharks has a extra sense that helps it find fish and depends on a extra sense more than sight

  15. FUN FACTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY WERE ALIVE WHEN DINOSAUR TIME THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR 350 MILLON YEARS A GREAT WHITE SHARK IS THE MOST POPULAR SHARKS THERE IS A HOCKEY TEAM CALLED THE SAN JOSE SHARKS.
