ThePublicHealthAuthority • 17 publichealthofficerswork at theauthority, 2 department managers and a director • All arerequiredtohavefinished a universityeducationwithinthefields of naturalscience or healthscienceand must have a licence as publichealthofficers. • TheAuthority is responsible for issuinglicences for companies, monitoring, pollutioncontrol and protection of theenvironment.

Amongvariablesmesuredwerefecalbactera, pH, conductivity, total carbon, nutrience status and heavymetals. • Over all results wererather positivebutonelake is verypolluted. ThePublicHealthAuthority is workingonmethodstoimprove water quality where necessary
