  1. What is it? Bring an object you really like or which means a lot to you and be ready to explain why you chose that particular item, where you got it and any other relevant information…

  2. How? STEP 1 : • Hide your object in your backpack • Give the class 3 clues about it • Pupils will try to guess what it is.

  3. How? STEP 2 : • Show your object. and • Tell about it (2 min) (say why you selected it, why it is important, what you do or did with it, tell stories about it ,how you got it….)

  4. How? STEP 3 : • Be ready to answer your friends’ questions.

  5. Organization • One pupil every Monday(beginning of the lesson) and very rarely on Wednesday (see planning) • About 5 minutes • This work will be marked by the teacher and 2 pupils selected as jury members (cf criteria)

  6. Evaluation /20 • Respect du sujet (clues, show and tell, questions) /1 • Correction grammaticale /3 • Correction lexicale /3 • Correction phonologique / 3 • Aisance à l’oral (pas de note, regarde l’auditoire, parle assez fort…) /3 • Spécificité de l’oral (gap fillers, hésitations, débit…) /4 • Prise en compte de l’interactivité (interagir, questions…) /3

  7. Gap fillers A la place du « euh……. » bien français, les anglais utilisent d’autres mots que l’on appelle des « gap fillers ». → ? • Well… • Er… • You see… • What I mean… • What I’m trying to say is that… • Laisser un blanc
