  2. A Dilemma: • A dilemma is a problem involving choice between two options that are/seem equally unfavourable. • Examples: Should I go to school or go to the dentist?

  3. Suspense...! • Suspense: excitement and anticipation regarding the outcome of the story.

  4. That brings us to... Types of conflictConflict is the main problem in the story.

  5. There are 4 main types of CONFLICT: • Person vs Person – A character is in conflict with another character.

  6. (2) Person vs Him/Herself – A character is in conflict with his/her own imperfections, ideas, or actions.

  7. (3) Person vs Nature – A character is in conflict with a force of nature.

  8. (4) Person vs Society – A character is in conflict with a societal law, belief, population, etc.
