  2. Alexandria Student Branch • Alex. Univ branch is one of the few first branches founded in Egypt. • It was founded in the year 2000. starting with hardly enough members (20) and 4 active members. • In the past 8 years, the branch has undergone major developments and breakthroughs. • we have the largest number of student members nationwide (close to a 1000 members this year) . • Our range of activities includes : technical seminars, SPACs, soft skills workshops, study groups, field trips, contests….. and more.

  3. “Interact With Today’s World”ITW’08 • ITW ’08 is a 3-day conference, held in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conference Center. • The event featured state-of-the-art sessions, given by professional engineers and IT experts. • More than 500 attendees were present (85% of which were undergraduate EE students. • The event highlighted some of today’s and tomorrow’s most significant topics in areas of Telecommunications, Microelectronics, Industrial Automation and more. • It also shed some light on the development of interpersonal skills which is key to the success of any individual or organization today.

  4. ITW Goals: • Reach out to a large number of audience. • Raise the level of technical awareness related to today’s most significant areas of technology • Prepare students for the transition between university and the professional world. • Promote the importance of soft skills investment for individuals and teams.

  5. Marketing Channels • Mailing Lists (Alex SB and Egypt Section mailing lists). • Our website. • Posters. • Our facebook page and the IEEE AlexSB group on facebook. • All online student bulletins that we know of: Yahoo! Groups, forums and facebook groups.
